Samuel Goldwyn Films has acquired North American rights to science-fiction thriller “Paradise Hills,” starring Emma Roberts, Milla Jovovich, Danielle Macdonald and Awkwafina, Variety has learned exclusively.

First-time director Mirrah Foulkes' revenge comedy from Vice Studios bowed in Sundance. Samuel Goldwyn Films has picked up the North American rights to the dark revenge comedy Judy & Punch from first-time director Mirrah Foulkes.

Samuel Goldwyn Films has picked up US rights from Bleiberg Entertainment to Jesse V. Johnson’s gangster thriller Avengement featuring a predominantly British cast led by Scott Adkins and Craig Fairbrass.

Samuel Goldwyn Films has acquired U.S. rights to Michel Ocelot’s animated Dilili in Paris, which is part of SGF’s plan to expand into distributing more family entertainment films. A 2019 theatrical release is in the works.

Samuel Goldwyn Films has taken domestic rights to Joseph Cross’ feature directorial debut Summer Night for a release next spring. Cross is the star of such films as Lincoln, Milk and the HBO Emmy-winning limited series Big Little Lies.
